Welcome to the Meadows 150 Celebrations Website

In 2009, the historic Adelaide Hills township of Meadows celebrated the 150th anniversary of its founding – click here to find out more about how this date was determined.

A Meadows 150 Coordinating Committee was formed and an exciting mix of projects and events were held to:

  • Increase community spirit and cohesiveness;
  • Provide a lasting legacy for the Meadows township;
  • Collect, collate and communicate Meadows history, and
  • Promote the town within the district and state as a regional tourist destination.

There’s been an enthusiastic response from community groups and individuals to take part in the festivities and organise events, and the Coordinating Committee has been busy coordinating the timing of the many ideas and proposals put forward.

You will find out more about the Meadows 150 celebrations by browsing our website.
We invite you to celebrate our history and enjoy our hospitality.
